Would you attribute the aggregated behavior of the occupational Western ruling class since the New Dealers more to a vitriolic hatred of their native traditions and populations so monumental that they are willing to destroy themselves to destroy the object of their hatred, or more to pure arrogance, delusion, and stupidity?
The so called ruling class in America didn't actually begin to be constructed until after the war, same thing with the "The Great American institutions of old (Harvard, Princeton, etc.)", the version of those institutions we know were built after the war and didn't really become what we've known them as until the 1980s.
Some of the biggest things people associate with the New Deal, such as the Glass-Steagall banking regulatory regime were quite populist and constructed in the face of large opposition from big finance and the crowd in/around the ivies and even, behind the scenes, from FDR. And much of that was actually just a continuation of what had long been, in some cases all the way to our predecessor 13 colonies, the public policy of the country.
The populist aspects of the New Deal (which were often the strongest forces against Statism) are provable. The proof that can be provided is close to absolute. But they lie about history, their lies can be disproven but that requires many hours of people's time to show them transcripts of congress and various public gov and private hearings, and hundreds of newspaper articles, and many private letters, ect.., ect..
