I felt the need to Remaster this fan favourite from back in the day!
When I first wrote 'Chronicle of a Death Foretold? Or, Foreseeing a Nation's Grisly Murder!' the operant stressors in the Western world were far more tame than today. The Empire of Lies, meanwhile, had some semblance of 'control' over things.
No longer is that the case!
The Empire is presently a Jet that has lost both engines, with both pilots down for the count. The rudder/steering is pointed nose down, and the throttle is maximum. DOOM wares, thus, need to be re-forged to reflect this coming catastrophe!

Santiago Nasr is to be pitied:
The protagonist of Marquez's Magnum Opus 'Chronicle of a Death Foretold,' Nasr, is unaware of his inevitable demise. Throughout the novella, many realize the coming carnage & slaughter, yet none realize that Nasr himself is oblivious.
Some refrain from getting involved, others believe he has already been cautioned, others feel that the Vicario brothers are merely jesting, others are distracted by the Bishop, & others think the slaughter justified & finally, some wish him butchered.
As the Vicario brothers close in for the kill, even in those final, fateful moments, Nasr's mother erroneously believes that her son has already succeeded in returning home, thereby ordering that the front doors to the house be barred to the murderers:
Yet this is precisely what traps Santiago outside, as the Vicario duo methodically gut him bit by bit, disembowelling him to the point where Nasr has to hold onto & carry his own entrails moments before the mundane finale of his ignoble death.
Today, the United States of America, that Empire of Lies & Great Satan, is about to meet its own mundane finality & ignoble end. Like Santiago Nasr, little can be done by its sundry 'Elite,' 'leaders,' & functionaries to prevent said gory, brutal ending.
As it approaches a brutal 1 vs 3 Civilizational conflict against the Sinic, Islamic & Orthodox worlds, many nations & peoples (big & small) realize what comes next but refrain from warning the Americans for similar reasons as in Marquez's novella:
Some wish America destroyed, others think the comeuppance justified, others want to remain neutral, others believe the Americans are sufficiently cautioned & prepared, others are distracted by sundry world events & finally, others think little of WW III:
Since such a conflict 'can never be won & thus must never be fought,' or so goes the slogan.
Yet Man (for all his boons from God Almighty) is rarely rational. In most cases, he operates at the sub-rational level, with the occasional foray into the transcendental & the super-rational. The spectre of Global Conflict, thus, is alive & well for all to intuit:
Many are clear-eyed & levelheaded about the matter & recognize the coming carnage & slaughter are now all but inevitable, with the question of 'when will it start?' being the paramount query rather than the more hopeful & naive 'whether it shall start at all.'
Like Nasr's gruesome disembowelment & ignoble, gory fate, the ensuing end of American hegemony & its sundry aftermaths will be horrendous *when they occur*, but will become mere afterthoughts, rapidly forgotten by much of the civilized world:
For, the 'Elite' & leadership of America, writ large, have alienated much of the world with their sundry crimes & foreign adventures. America today is largely isolated, be it diplomatically or morally, & so its functionaries operate in echo chambers:
As they continue to wage 'War against the World' (overtly & covertly), the noose around them tightens evermore as foes close in from all sides.

Sober-minded observers of the whole thing, those who are not impressed by the gadget-heavy, bulky 'technology' & Wunderwaffe of the Americans & their EU vassals, such people recognize that the Empire of Lies has reached the end of its life cycle.
Domestically, the debt is astronomical, with the interest payments already reaching unsustainable levels. In the coming months or so, they will be the chief expense on the balance sheet, with even behemoths like US Military Spending taking a backseat:
This means that no ability, willingness, or readiness exists any longer in the halls of power to sustain a peer-to-peer conflict at any level against an adversary, let alone three simultaneously. Total Defeat is all but guaranteed in such a pursuit.
If the Zionists cannot best the Islamic resistance using 5+ million USD Merkava Tanks, courtesy of the latter's cheap sub-300 USD weapons systems, how can chauvinists on 'Team USA' argue that their 'White Elephant' weaponry will triumph?
Many have forgotten this, but the Germans were bested in WW II courtesy of size and scale. Rarely did the Germans find themselves outcompeted on the technology, for Nazi engineering often maintained parity or an outright advantage most of the time.
Yet America today is not like Nazi Germany was in the late 1930s; nay, it is in much worse straits!
The US today lacks the manufacturing, production, & overall industrial prowess to prosecute peer-to-peer conflict. In fact, Americans today cannot even move assets from the Western seaboard to the Pacific theatre should hostilities break out!
Meanwhile, The USD, once the reserve currency of choice, is rapidly being dumped globally. Nations (big & small) have had enough of American hegemony, & are hitting the Empire of Lies where it hurts most, namely in its pocketbook.
The Exorbitant privilege of the USD, courtesy of which tens of millions of Americans have a heavily subsidized lifestyle, is rapidly ending. & when it falls apart in its entirety, Americans will have living standards closer to modern-day Brunei:
This will mean a 20-50% reduction in overall purchasing power & related measures. The American people, leveraged to the hilt with debt & deeply disenfranchised by how the Empire cares little for their concerns, will then revolt.
Some Dear Readers may object at this point:
'Why should they revolt when all Americans have done thus far is go along with the program? Why is this time going to be any different?'
While this is no doubt an excellent question, there is an assumption at play here:
Namely, past woes & failures neatly translate to future failures & apathy. We are, at most, several months away from a Soviet Union-style implosion of living standards brought about by the USD's Fall. The American people will be forced to move:
The word 'revolution' is dangerous for those with something to lose. But if what one inhabits is nothing short of a hellscape where disease, starvation & crime are rampant, it is simply the natural pursuit to continue surviving amidst said carnage.

Once that bridge is crossed, Civil War v2.0 is the deterministic end of said row of Dominoes beginning their fall.
Imperial overstretch, already at play as of this piece's writing, will then switch into overdrive, leaving thousands of US forces overseas & abandoned.
In Niger & Chad, ultimatums have been issued to Imperial US forces to leave immediately:
Power has been cut to the bases & a de facto siege has been enacted to starve them into submission. America, emaciated & doddering, has all but Submitted to said demands, & all that remains is the formal implementation of the sundry terms of surrender.
In the coming weeks & months, such instances will multiply as thousands of Americans attempt to leave chaotically from military assets across most of West Asia, Africa & elsewhere. Many will not make it, & will be captured or killed in the process.
Domestic Anger, already tipping over (or about to), will exacerbate tremendously from such mass casualties, humiliation, carnage & slaughter.
Civil War v2.0 (if it has not already) will kickstart &/or magnify, depending on what part of the DOOM loop the Empire of Lies is in.
America's enemies, once scant to non-existent yet nowadays numerous & ever-multiplying, will seize the moment.
Chaos & Discord will be bolstered at home, where rebel groups will be armed to the teeth with cheap tech, expertise, etc., to continue the carnage.
What little will remain of the American overseas Empire will be brutally ground to dust. Whatever men & collaborators stay in said abandoned military installations will be slaughtered &/or captured. This outcome is now all but guaranteed:
None of the weapons systems, Wunderwaffe or whatnot, will rescue these men from their coming annihilation & DOOM, for it all comes down to numbers & the inability to defend against all incoming strikes. 'Saturation,' after all, is the name of the game:
Cheap Missiles, Artillery, Drones, & Rockets (call it 'MADR,' if you will, Dear Readers!) have proliferated the battlefield to the point where old notions about 'quality' need to be eschewed, given how 'on the ground' realities now indicate a New Zeitgeist.
As long as sufficient cheap, reliable technology, methods & tactics exist, & are easy to teach, replicate, & transfer, what one gets on today's battlefield is no longer a mere 'citizen soldier' from days past.
The very terms of debate & discussion need to be changed:
No, what we get, Dear Readers, is the Ubiquity of Military Activity. No longer is it merely the province of the soldier or the insurgent. It is transforming (as we speak) into becoming a common, everyday Economic Activity for the ordinary Man.
This 'Military Economics' means not just that conventional armed forces are rapidly eroding in overall Influence & Power (courtesy of mass Democratization of the means of violence), but they are likewise becoming too big & clunky:
Speed, reliability, & adaptability will be what wins the Wars of the 21st century. America no longer possesses either of these.
The End of America, Illuminated Crisis, Essential, Interconnected.
Conclusion
The Death of the USA approaches with speed.
It is a Demise which, in many ways, has been foretold far in advance, with all the sundry warning signs only now beginning to make themselves felt.
The Empire of Lies & The Great Satan is on the clock, & the hourglass is about to run out of the requisite sand...
America's 'Elite' & leadership may (at the last moment) stave off the disasters & calamities briefly touched upon in this piece.
Yet, for every treasonously optimistic read on how thing will prevail, dozens more exist, showing that catastrophe is inevitable.
For, the truth of the matter is actually relatively simple:
The rot, decay, & Moribund state of affairs did not pop up overnight. American leadership & 'Elite' have incrementally pursued policies (both foreign & domestic) which have disgusted the rest of the world & have made them into determined foes.
There was a time when such trends could have been reversed…
But things have now come to the point where those in favour of Empire & Hegemony seem hellbent on fighting a suicidal, Tri-Civilizational War, a confrontation that the USA is poised to lose.
Santiago Nasr was the final person who learned of the Vicario brothers' ploy to murder him. Yet in those final moments, when he realized the brutality they were about to inflict on him, the emotion he most strongly felt was 'Bewilderment.'
Even as he clutched his entrails & limped on, disembowelled & Moribund, he could not understand his murder. Or, so is implied by the narrator.
Perhaps that is also what the Empire's leadership & 'Elite' will feel as they face their inevitable Defeat & Disintegration. Or perhaps by then, they would have already 'vacated the premises,' leaving behind a bunch of scapegoats to soak up the blame.
Whatever the case may be, one thing is clear: Time is fast running out & presently, there is no indication that serious efforts are being made to prevent this cataclysm from playing out before us in all its gory, vile & morbid detail.
The DOOM cometh...!
